                                                                             Date : 26.03.2025

Dear Sir/Madam,

SUB: URGENT: FOR IMPLEADMENT AND FILING OBJECTIONS ON THE WRIT PETITIONS OF THE UNIONS ON MINIMUM WAGES – PRO BONO SERVICE;

WARM GREETINGS from Dr Gubbi’s House of Justice

As you are aware, the Trade Unions had moved the High Court of Karnataka by way of several Writ Petitions challenging and seeking for further raise in MINIMUM WAGES REVISION from the revised wages Rs. 13,000/- to Rs. 31,556/- at UNSKILLED CATEGORY of workmen.

We had challenged the Orders of the Single Bench before the Hon’ble Divisional Bench of the High Court of Karnataka. The Hon’ble Divisional Bench after hearing both the parties has set aside the Orders of the Single Bench and directing the Single Bench to freshly hear the matter making Employers as Parties to the Writ Petitions.

There are totally 34 Scheduled Employment Sectors on which the Writ Petitions are filed by the Trade Unions.

Since this may have effect on employers, we had challenged the order of the Single Bench before the Divisional Bench of the High Court and after hearing us and the unions, the Divisional Bench passed an order on 13.12.2024 setting aside the order of the Single Bench, permitting Employers to go before the Single Bench, directing the Single Bench to hear the matters and dispose of expeditiously within ten weeks.

As a PRO BONO SERVICE (FREE OF COST) we are taking up the matter on behalf of TRADE, MSMEs & INDUSTRY before the Single Bench of the High Court keeping the interest of TRADE, MSMEs & INDUSTRY in mind. Only the actual expenses on stationery, photocopies and court expenses will be charged.

Attached please find a list containing the 34 scheduled Employment Sectors the revisional wages of which are challenged by the Trade Unions.

We will be representing our Clients/Members  before the Single Bench by filing objections on the Writ Petitions of the Unions, making required submissions and arguing on the matter.

Such of the industries, trade firms, business houses, MSMEs  who are part of these Scheduled Employment Sectors who are willing to be part of this matter are requested to provide your consent to the Federation to enable us to move forward BEFORE HIGH COURT OF KARNATAKA.

Since the High Court has to be moved at the earliest, your CONSENT can be provided by way of replying to this email. Kindly provide your industry name, full address ,  email id, contact person and contact number to drgubbilegal@gmail.com

For clarifications you can contact us on +918105671578.
